GT Brake Pad help

Hi,
I have a GT aggressor (no halfords jokes please,lol) and have just gone thru my first set of pads front and back, happend half round Penhydd which was a bit scary to say the least. Now having trouble finding ones that fit. Tried halfords&Ebay and no joy. Brakes are Mechanical Tektro IOX. Can any one suggest where I may get some from. Ta,Ben

Tredz will have them, and halfords should too, my fathers got the same bike and he got his from tredz and halfords, i to think you just gotta go at the right time. or if you cant get them just ask halfords to send away for some or do the same in tredz. Take in one of the worn out ones and they will order the right ones for you.

They are the same as Shimano M525 IIRC.

thanks, I will also try that site. Tried Halfords, and they gave me a pair and ensured me that they would fit, when I tried fitting them they were too big to fit in the caliper. They are circular in shape. Will keep searching. Thanks,Ben

So where do you live. Do you live near Afan Argoed then? I've got you the name of the brake because my fathers got some in the shed. Its Clarks' Hayes GX-2/MX-2 Mechanical and Solo Hydraulic. I think. I dont think they're on Tredz or Halfords, but they are on some other sites, like chain reaction cycles etc. just look around.

Going to order some from chain reaction cycles. They look very like the Tektro Lyra pads that they have on their site. £10.99 a pair tho, cheaper to keep my car in working order, lol. thanky ou both for your help. Ta,Ben 8)
