Hi everyone,

I have read the review on the Kona kula 2008, I just wondering what peoples views are on this bike and if £700 is a good price to pay?

Cheers

Always gets good reviews. At full rrp,not such great value but a reasonable buy at £700.
Solid reliable kit,on it ,nice frame.
Wiggle have the O9 for £733.

Is the kona kula any good for trail centres or aimed more at xc?

You`d get round a trail centre on it no problem.Might have to work harder than on a full suss but plenty of people ride trail centres on bikes like this.
Before you go for the Kula, also look at the Rockhopper Expert,I have seen them reduced to £700.

I have hammered around Afan & Cwmcarn on my Cindercone which has a frame very similar to the Kula before Kona made the Cindercone more Lumpy.

If you are not riding huge dropoffs & want to ride XC then go for it as £700 isn't too bad & there is the potential to upgrade parts over time.
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.
