I have £1000 ride to work voucher.
I would like a 140mm front fork full suspension bike. As I am new to all the components, when it comes to comparing them, I am un-certain which is best. At least I know that XT & XTR with Shimano is good. I had my eye on the Trek EX8 2009. Towards the end of the summer season the bike prices start to come down. I wouldn't bank on getting £600 off a 2009 Fuel Ex8, it's a very good and very popular bike, so there probably won't be many left come the sales. Have you tried one yet? That should be the first step.0

no I have not ridden one yet. I will see what I can get for £1500 when the sales happen. I have seen bikes like the Scott Ransom 30 2009 come down in price from £2299 to £1799.
I am holding thumbs :roll:0 -
Cannondale Rize 5 is worth a look in that budget, great all rounder.0
