Hi,

Looking for some advice before I part with the cash. I like the look of the SRAM TT 500 shifters (can't stretch to the carbon (900's) but my bike is 9 speed not 10. I see from the blurb that they have a "3 position stop".

Does that mean they can be set up to index 8, 9 & 10 speed cassettes ? Or can this only be used on 10 speed bikes ?

Many thanks,
Gav

The 3-position stop refers to setting where the lever rests at the extreme shifting points. You can have it pointing up, down or straight ahead.

It doesn't have anything to do with how many speeds you use.

They are designed for 10-speed shifting (10 clicks), so can't comment on if you can use them on 9-speed cassettes. Someone else should know that one though.
