If anyone can explain what is going on, please do. I want to know about the bikes, not some chavs.

Beats me! Do you think the your/you're mistakes are deliberate?

I dunno! The site has been under construction for a while, with the launch date being delayed a few times.

I was looking forward to the relaunch of Saracen under Madison, with a fresh image, but a serious one to show that they are a serious brand.

    So far...

I've liked a lot of stuff Saracen have done, and have owned a couple of their bikes. The trax bikes of the 90s and the Kilis were really decent numbers, and in 1997 they launched the first genuinely affordable full susser, the Havoc. Then in 99 they released the first £300 super bike in the shape of the NZyme - alloy frame, 8 Speed STXRC, V brakes and a sus fork was unheard of for that price and in my eyes made this price point what it is today.

Kudos to the Zen too as it launched the long travel 'hardcore hardtail' in the UK with adjusted geometry, and of course the Xile which was the budgeteers dirt jump bike of choice. And all those budget full sussers. I picked up a 140m single pivot DTOX 4 years ago for 300 quid which was great.

Not quite sure what went wrong - I think a lot of the others caught up with them in the value stakes, and they seemed to get this image as a budget 'teenagers' brand; style over substance which I think put a lot of people off the more expensive models. I hope this new imagery doesn't reinforce that!!!

I had a Backtrax through the 98 till 2003 ish and was a great bike, the new bikes look very catchy! hopefully they will do an urban bike in the same styles!

i stil have my hazzard pro frame set, the bike cost 350 quid and was my best intro into mtb riding. i had an avalanche before but just didnt like it, i completely changed my mind about bikes after the saracen, it weighed a tonne but i kept up with my mates on ht bikes cause i could remain seated over rough ground and get the pedals spinning.

its the reason i love fs bikes.

i really really fancy a zen, i love the idea of a sorted long travel hardtail and they are so well specced but i know i just dont like ht bikes, shame really.

I wonder when we will see the Athertons on a Saracen?

my brother just bought a Saracen Mantra 3 for £400, seemed like a bargain at that price.
