Does anyone know the weight of the Specialized Rockhopper expert 09 . I'm looking for a light bike for around £800 on the cycle to work scheme and the Expert gets good reviews. I know the Pro is around 11.5kg but can't find any reference for the weight of the Expert.
Any other light Non Halfords bike recommendations would be welcome too (can't use Halfords with my companies cyclescheme). cheers

It is not published, but I would guess around 26lbs or so.0

I've got a 17" Pro 09 and it weighs 26lb. The Expert felt slightly heavier in the shop but there's not much in it but in any case the exact weight will change a bit if you are going to alter components e.g. my bike weighs about half a pound more if I put my V8 flat pedals on instead of SPDs.0

Picked up an expert this morning - 19" . . . Got it off R2W and really happy with the choice - but a tad annoyed at being messed around by Evans for ages!
Have a look on the TFL website, they are doing 10% off : - https://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/roadusers/cy ... ucher.aspx
I even managed to get Evans to price match another store . . .then used R2W to buy my bike! Also, they were happy to give me 10% on accesories and 15% on Safety gear!
Together with R2W works out to a pretty sweet deal0 -
Did you know that you can buy your bike AND accessories on the ride to work scheme and save 40%ish off the accessories too (if you buy it all together).
How does the bike feel?Giant Anthem X3 2010.0 -
Yup . .
Got the bike discounted FURTHER from their current price as they had messed me around for a while, (though it was the other stores that were the problem as they had to special order my original bike in and the stores they were getting them from, kept either selling the bike reserved for me . . or simply not sending the bike) - the guys in the Evans I went to were very helpful - I will use them again.
then, I got 10% off all the extras . . and 15% off all safety gear!
THEN, I paid for it all through ride to work for an additional approx 45% off!
Overall, paid way less than half price on average for all the gear I bought.0
