For those that havent already seen it on the front page:

That Reign X0 looks very tempting. They do all look very tasty though, and the Maestro system is supposedly top-notch too. Will be interested to see some more specs to see how it stacks up against the likes of the Cube Fritzz.

thats probably the best looking line up of bikes ive seen for 2010, those frames are ace looking, i love the over use of hydroforming.0
-
All that blue looks vile!0
-
Not a fan of the 'just crashed it/pregnant hippo' look in general and Giants in particular. The Glory DH is OK tho.0
-
the 29ers rims look familiar."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

We'll have to disagree on that one. The blue cables on the Trance X are a bit much I agree, but the rest of the range is lovely, oh, and those flared top tubes, yes please.0 -

im on your side there cat, i think they look brill.0 -
I love the entire Giant range, I really do, but then I'm a bit of a Giant fanboy.
I'm seriously going to look at treating myself to a new one to replace my 10 year old ATX1100. I do love the 2009 Trance X3 and could probably get one for a steal in the new-range sales, but I won't have that kind of money on me for some time.
//shakes fist at economic downturn0 -
this'll sound odd coming form a spesh fanboi but i always found the giant range (apart from my old reign of course) to be a bit dull looking regardless of how well they perform.
those new mdels are superb looking, the longer travel bikes especially, i love the way the tubes have been manipulated, even if they are supposed to add to strength and reduce weight or whatever, they look ace.0 -
They are there to look good i think ;-)0
-
the new reign looks awesome.0
-
the faith and glory oh my goodness, wud kill for!0
-
If I win a million I would buy most of them :P
When are Cube going to show their 2010 range?I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.0 -

That's what I'm wondering too. Looking forward to seeing the new Fritzz0 -
off topic-ish but out of the 2010 things i've seen so far, I think this is the smartest
It's also the colour of my spanish team, Valencia CFStart Weight 18st 13lbs March 2009

sory knight but that orange is poo
one it actually has an orange on it and the graphics look crap and white frames and black kit is just a bit old looking compared to all white like bars stem, wheels etc come to think of it none of oranges bikes seem good looking tbh ....( awaitng comments from orange owners )0 -
Looks neat and tidy, unlike those horrific blue cables! No fancy tubes, just straight to the point. Clean lines.0
-
by straight lnes do you mean boring and old fashioned?0
-
If it works... it works.0
-
nah imo if it dont shout at you its crap. a bike needs to stand out from the croud imo, but atleast if everyone has "boring" looking bikes bikeslike those will seem even more wicked. im just glad giant has got its act together0
-
"nah imo if it dont shout at you its crap"
Graphics don't make a bike perform lol.
I know what you mean, it can have a psychological influence, but I buy bikes for performance and value. The looks don't come into it. However I do like the look of my carbon Zaskar, but that is not why I bought it, or the parts.0 -
how could you get tham out of shed/garage/spare room to go on a hangover blitzing ride.
If you buy one i guess you will absolutly love it and there is nothing wrong with thatfly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0 -
yer dont get me wrong sonic a bike ahs to ride well, but if a bike looks loud 9 times out of ten it will ride well. this seems to have been the pattern with bikes ive ridden, lappierres look great, felt great, giants and speshs always seem boring to me tbh. i know its all personal preference but i ride wierd so my bike has to suit me, so i have a wierd set up, and my bike has to be in your face but then thats me0
-
bikes work fine whether they look good or not, granted, but if im spending my hard earned, i expect a bike to look good.
there is no excuse for a regular 9 pipe hardtail these days in my opinion.
if there were 2 equally specced bikes/components at the same price with equal reputations, i would buy the better looking one and i would imagine this is the case for 99% of people.
value and performance are the 2 biggest guiding lights in every purchase i make, i rarely buy without a bit of study but i absolutely see aesthetics as a valid consideration when making a purchase, how else would thomson make any money?0 -

Well, remove the orange and it's no longer valencia, but some shitty real madrid...

that's also hot. just as sonic says, and with that 2nd one being steel, its just how it should be.Start Weight 18st 13lbs March 2009
17st 10lbs August 2009
17st 4lbs October 2009
15st 12lbs December 2010

i can almost forgive the p7 as i agree, steel frames should be plain skinny tubes, i even like the detail included in the dropouts but have you seen the way the seat stays meet the seat tube?
absolutely awful looking and lets be honest, when it comes to ht bikes, the devil is in the detail other wise, apart from a couple of angles here and there, its the same 9 pipes as every other ht bike.0 -

Regular 9 pipes work so well though. And many find the simple aesthetics pleasing to the eye. Eye of the beholder really.
Some FS are just six pipes, a shock and a pivot! Many people view FS the same way you view HTs.0 -
they do work well, granted. but so do hydro-formed offerings form other companies but they manage to look good too.
i also think lots of fs bikes look rubbish, invariably the more agricultural and less manipulated ones.
for me its all the detailing which makes a frame look good and sets one apart from another.0
