Ok, so I've had another change of heart, and I'm now considering the Stumpy HT Comp...
Does anyone here ride one? Is it ok for standard XC or is the geom too racey for long distances?
Cheers.

I've riden one for 2 years and I think its perfect for 'standard XC' as you call it.2011 Yeti ASR5 carbon: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5817307/

Had mine two years as well - utterly brilliant.
Replaced a few bits as they've worn but then I do pile on the miles (about 5000 so far). Mine is now usefully lighter than stock (which is already light!)...0 -
i have a 2008 stumpy, and can highly recommend it.i mostly ride on the ridgeway(in wiltshire)and for the type of riding i do,it's perfect.but would stand up to more technical terrain as well.0
