Lol i was tempted to email them some links to the dx lights but thought best not.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Hehe! Just ridiculous prices for what you get.
Just polishing up that light thing you did, should be up soon!0 -
No worries, did wonder wht it all went quiet. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

The thing is they are very good lights.
I use the Expose Enduro Maxx and it gives off a great white light, has a more that adequate burn time, no cables and a great quick release.
Ok, they aren't cheap but people pay a lot more for worse things.0 -
Look at the P7's on deal extreme, or the fenix torches.
Fenix are military grade waterproof lights, far better that exposure lights.
My fenix feels solid, and you can see me coming at 500 lumin .. LOL
I for one would never buy another bike specific light again, I will just get two P7's off deal extreme or another fenix.
I have a 30 foot living room, i turned the lights off and it lit the whole of the living room and my hallway.0 -

one of the bike distributors appears to have take fenix on, so they should be rocking up in mist good bikeshops soon!0
-
Ok guys have you a link to these good cheap lights?
I may be described as stupid by some, but I am also looking for a light I can attach to my helmet and would rather not pay £150 for a exposure joystick if I can find a good alternative.0 -
agree with the above comments. getting bike specific lights might save you a a bit of time and hassle while you try and mount the light but the savings available from DX and others are more than worth it. On a price to performance ratio the bike lights will find it tough to compete.0

Basically one of those torches uses the same cell and emitter as the £225 diablo. For about a tenth the price!!!0
-
More expensive but I have this one.
I got one before they were a massive hit at 35.00 I think, I know that did not help, but this was before I found out about the P7 that SS bought.

I cant belive they are still charging so much, now that people have caught on to the betters cheaper deals.
Alot better and alot cheaper.0 -
Has quite a small output at 220 lumens. Still, better than some of the exposure stuff!0
-
God I blind motorists at the 220.
But prob need two for the XC
I cant imagine what 800 lumen would look like0 -

I've bought myself two of these mounts, they fit my ultrafire great but not my p7, bit of rubber pipe will sort that one out though.
I have to admit im tempted not to buy bike specific lights again now i have a decent mount for it, just means hassle chaining the batteries every hour or so.

Here's a better imo alternative to the mte p7

This reminds me when I was 15, my mate strapped a patio flood light to his bike along with a car battery attached to the panias. He was stopped by the police0
-
lmao, way things are going with lights i can see complaints happening.
Decided to save me money and just buy another mte p7 and use this instead.

Needs to be an unregulated torch otherwise you fry the driver.
Luckily the 2 mode is such a torch. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Can't say I've been that impressed by the Fenix torches, gave mine away in the end. On the road bike I use Ay-Ups and on the MTB an Exposure Maxx + Joystick. That said I won't be buying another set of Exposures, they're decent lights but not exactly cutting edge and the price is just crazy now compared with other choices (I bought mine a couple of years ago ). Will probably get the Dealextreme P7 bike light next but it does sound pretty shoddily made so hopefully I'll not get a duff one...0
