First of all, as a new member to 'Bikeradar,' i would just like to say hi to everyone on here and that i think that this is a great Forum. (thats the groveling out the way!)
I am very interested in buying a Hybrid bike up to the value of £300 and the P6 has really caught my eye but, I can't find any reviews on it at all.
Does anyone know how good or bad the Scott Sportster P6 2009 model is?
I have Googled for reviews on the P6 but apart from the Advertisers product review, i can't find any owners or independent expert reviews on it at all.
Or, would you recommend a better alternative in the same price range?
It will be used for Road and Canal Towpaths.
Thank for any advice.

looks fine a basic hybrid, for the money not likely to get much better, this said i'm a fan of bike shops and giving the bike at least a look than internet deals etc0

Thanks for your positive opinion, roger merriman, much appreciated.
I do intend to buy from my local bike shop, and they do stock the Scott Sportster P6, it's just that i can't find any Owners Reviews on it to help me decide.
The bike shop doesn't have anywhere were you can ride the bike to try it out before you buy it, instead, they put the bike in a Stand were you then sit on the bike so that they can then make adjustments to it, for it to fit you. - I don't know how reliable this method is though?
The thing is, I'm torn between two bikes really, the P6 and a Trek 7.2fx.
I know the Trek 7.2fx is a good bike as i've read quite a few reviews about it and, my mate has one, it's just that i really like the look of the P6... and... it's cheaper.
Many thanks,

I'd try and find somewhere that will at least let you have a go on one. The treks look decent too.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Yip! Agreed.
That's what i want to do, trouble is, the second nearest supplier to me of the P6 is 15-20 miles away!
I'll probably go this weekend, though.
Cheers, mate.0 -
