Felt Road bikes

I've been looking about for a new bike for the past few weeks and there seem to be some decent deals going about on the Felt F4.
The F4 has a carbon frame and Ultegra SL Gruppo.
Does anyone out there ride a Felt or know anyone who's ridden one to get an opinion on them as there aren't too many reviews out there on their road bikes.
Wiggle are doing a great deal on them (£1330) and my LBS stocks Felt as their main brand.
Preference is probably to buy from my LBS if they can bring the price down a bit as it's a bit easier should anything go wrong.
Just trying to get an idea what folks opinions on them is.
Cheers

I have a Felt Z35 which is a similar carbon frame, just more relaxed geometry. I have another similarly priced bike and have ridden others and find the Felt to be by far my favourite. A number of reviews and guys who work in LBS (which isnt a Felt dealer) think it is one of the best frame and forks out there for the money. I upgraded the wheels (to Easton EA 90SL) but most bikes could benefit from a wheel upgrade.
All the best,

A mate of mine just bought one, so I'll ask him what he thinks. (Don't think he's had a chance to ride it yet)0

I dont have a carbon Felt but I have a Felt Z70 and so far no complaints.
I was new to road cycling so if thought a bike with a relaxed geometery was better and and so far i have no complaints and TBH a new bike running full 105 and plently of carbon and i only paid £600 was my bargain
So my advice is get it bought lad!!!0 -
Thanks for the posts guys.
Haven't heard anything negative about them so far.

I have an 07 F4 with ultegra and Dura ace. It was fantastic as a road bike and got me over the Alps comfortably (well not so comfortably I suppose). the handling is direct but fairly forgiving for a race as opposed to sportif geometry.
I have converted it into a TT bike now and have recently bought an "09 F3 with Sram Red. That too is amazing.http://twitter.com/mgalex

So nice to hear about someone going for a Felt.
I recently bought a Felt AR4 to compliment my stable which includes a Specialized Roubaix and Allez and I have to say it is fantastic.
Put it this way, the Allez hasn't seen the light of day since and the Roubaix has only managed 10 miles!
Last week I took it to my LBS (who don't stock Felt) for a proper bikefit and one guy asked if it was a custom build and the other had nothing but compliments for it.
I suppose it was nice for them to see a different manufacturer for a change but riding a Felt makes me feel different from the rest of the crowd, as though I have made a considered and conscious choice and not just gone with the flow.
I hope it gives you the same feeling of riding something a bit different and special as it does me. Oh, and to top it all the quality and ride is truly excellent too.0 -
My brothers got F55 and he likes it. Had it few months and had no problems with it. It's a nice looking bike and rides really well. He also bought it from Wiggle and it came set up perfectly with no adjustments needed.0

I've had my F70 for 2 years and love it to bits, 105 throughout, and carbon stays and forks.
Lovely light frame, handles nicely, climbs fairly well (only fairly cos it's me on board) and encourages loony fast hill descents as the handling is nice and balanced.
Will defo consider a full carbon Felt when the time comes, if Planet X don't get my business.

Thanks for the info guys - much appreciated.
Sounds like I'll be getting a pretty decent bike for the dosh.
Reckon I'll be off to my LBS on Saturday. They're a bit dearer than Wiggle but have said they'll try and get as close to their price as poss so all good.Scott CR1 Team
