Well after 3 years with me old Kona many good times ive finally upgraded to a better bike (to me ) just got a specialized rockhopper expert thorugh the bike to work scheme and wow what a ride :twisted: :twisted: a lot lighter than me old bike much better forks and gears that actually change ha !! Love it !!

Got one today too, but not happy with the gear changes :-( Too many gear changes seem to miss the target - needs some tuning?0

I'd lose the toe clip in things too, wouldn't want to be falling off whilst my foot is in that :?
Good bike other than that. What forks are on it?
Bulletprooffool - Sounds like you just need to fettle them a bit. Go to the Park Tool website or the Legendary Sheldon Brown website where you can get good advice.
Failing that, youtube has some good videos about setting gears up.It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Hmm yeah reckon you gears do just need fettling, my work a treat and hit spot on each time....... regarding forks there "rockshocks recon sl" still not set them up right for me yet though ......
Toe clips gone already ..... it did come with shimano spds too but got no money for cip in shoes yet and dont know if ill go down that route either ....0 -

yeah - you are really going to use this to solely ride to work because work is obviously on the trails :P0 -

got mine (Rockhopper Expert Disc) last Monday - fitted a computer and today passed the 200 mile mark (11 days)
Believe it or not . . .about 150 of those are actually riding to work and bike (mine was ride to work too)0 -
Aye you soon clock up the miles easy i do 80 mile a week commuting to work then a few evenings and a few hours at weekend....0
