This was dumped by the side of the road. I noticed it this morning walking my dogs, then again when i went out for a ride earlier, so I went back a few moments ago, rang on the door of the house it was outside and they said I should take it.
It's a bit knackered, needs a damn good clean and new rear brake, new front tyre, new spoke in front wheel and a new saddle, but it still runs well with no noises from the hub, the frame still folds and the front brake still works.
There is definitely still life in her and i've heard rumour of charities that take old bikes and fix them up to sell them on...anyone got any idea who they are and if they are in the bristol area?

Perhpas let the local Police know you've found it before you start work on it. You never know if someone is looking for it.0

how rude...poor old thing, abandoned and alone, and you're pointing out her prolapsed pannier
There appears to be some gold paint and a sticker saying something under the black...goodness only knows what i'll find when I start poking around!0 -
Cover your rear, report the find to the Police just in case it was stolen and dumped, don't want to be up in court for theft by finding when the rightful owners spots you out cruising do you?
Rack (panniers are the bags that go on the rack! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pannier ) looks like its been bent/bodged from one for a larger wheeled bike by the bends in the support stays!

If you are in London, how about this place in Mile End for recycling the bike?0
