Good Underwear for large waists?

Like many people here, im trying to cycle to lose weight and I'm finding it quite uncomfortable with chaffing underwear. A lot of stuff I've seen seems to be for very toned/small waistlines and I'm wondering whats best to go for to wear underneath a pair of loose shorts and stuff that kinda covers the 39-42" ish waistline?
