Assoc chamois creme expiry date

Just bought some Assos chamois creme and noticed that it has a date on the bottom of "08J0225", does this mean the expiry date is June/July 08? Will it rot my crotch if I use it?

    Probably the manufacturing date / batch code - I've had chamoix cream thats a few years old and given the antiseptic / astringent contents wouldn't worry about it going 'off'
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
