hamsterly is a complete waste of time.
what is there is pretty dull to be honest.0 -
When was the last time you rode at Hamsterley?
try http://www.hamsterley-trailblazers.o.uk/forum the guys on there will tel you about the new stuff and may even give you a guided tour0 -
It only gets 3/5 on FC website where as Dalby gets 5/5... Bugger, Dalby is a bit out of the way. But good riding gets in everytime. I'll have to get up earlier.0

I live in Sheffield and if i was in the mood to do a trail centre i'd go to Wales,i can get to Dalby quicker but its just not worth it IMO.Some people rave about it,personally i'd give it 2/5 at best. The £7 to park is a joke aswell.
Just my opinion though.0 -
Dalby definately, Hamsterley is w/ank theres nothing challenging on the black and the red routes dull as dishwater !!0

If you think that the £7 goes towards making and maintaining the trails, then I think it's a reasonable charge, there is a lot of trail out there, that works well in all weathers, and is being upgraded/maintained as far as I can see from a trip over Xmas and one last month.

Dalby was great, some fantastic, fast and technical trails. Will definatly be getting back there. But I'd do it with a car full to knock back the £7 excess.
And Coedy / Marin / Penmachno don't charge parking...0 -

All Far superior to Dalby, which when we rode it was definitely not all weather. One section just before the last descent was shin deep in mud.
If Dalby charged £3-£4 you could defend it £7 is just a Rip-off.0 -
A lot of money goes into the upkeep of bridal routes, yes I agree £7 is expensive but it's money into MTB specific trails with facilitys..........0

whats with the hasmterley bashing, it's a great spot to ride, the trailblaers do a great job of making new trails - in the past year there has been a lot added. It might not be upto the standard of others but is worth a look!!!!0

Yeah your right, sorry I was a bit harsh , its a ok ride I suppose, but I stand by the fact that dalby is better.
The main problem with hamsterley is the reds too boring and the blacks too short, and the black could do with a few more (optional ?) jumps/drop offs in it in my opinion.0 -
Which hamsterley are you talking about? There are two you could ride that are there, the one mentioned above or the better one here: http://www.descend-hamsterley.co.uk/ though it is definately more biased towards the DH, jumping, 4X side of biking.0
