Lubrication....keeping it clean afterwards !

After riding my first rain soaked route I was amazed how much rust appeared 2 days later on the chain etc.And my chain came off twice.
Can someone give me a post-ride maintenance routine that only takes a few minutes max? And what do I buy to do the maintenance

do you always apply something after every wet ride..or maybe I should hose it down and then dry it with a cloth after a wet ride. I will by the lubricants asap

Yeah try and clean after each wet ride, and every few rides in dry conditions.
