How easy is it to bend an ultegra front mech? Just a slight bend so that it affects shifting from cog to cog.

I seem to have bent mine but can't for the life of me think how I've done it.

    Hi,

My chain snapped on my spesh allez the other week and it dragged the front mech round with it.

At first I thought that it had bent but it turns out that it had just twisted round on the frame slightly and was out of allignment.

My LBS sorted it out in minutes for me.

Are you sure its bent? You could have a similar problem to what I experienced.

Has your chain stuck or snapped recently?

    Hope this helps.

Cheers Tino, nah no stuck/snapped chain. As soon as I fit the mech on the braze on (brand new braze on) it just doesn't look aligned and when I adjust gears it rubs and is at an angle.

I'd check for cracks on the mech too, I've had 3 mechs crack on the 2 bridges bits of the mech.

Just had a look, cant see any but cheers anyway. I think it might be a duff mech. The adjuster hole doesn't look like it's been drilled in the centre to me.
