CUBE SL Cross Comp?

OK I know this isn't technically a road bike, but it isn't a MTB either so I decided to post this here :P
What are peoples opinions on CUBE bikes? I'm thinking of getting the CUBE SL Cross Comp for general fitness etc. The spec sheet looks great for the price £599. Anyone else with a CUBE or anyone with info on how good they are?
It'll be my first bike in years, I don't want to spend thousands - nor can I afford to, I'm also not interested in drop bars as I have back issues.
