Have I got a problem with my new forks

HI,
I have new Fox float forks and am wondering if I have an issue with the lockout. When the forks have sat for a while, (a couple of hours or so) and I flick the lockout lever, there is quite a lot of travel before the the forks lockout (maybe about a third of the travel). However if I cycle the forks a couple of terms before activating the lockout then it is solidly a the top where I would expect it to be. Is this normal ??

Sounds normal, just the oil being pumped to the right place.0
