Got an unexpected day off so going to go over Swinley tomorrow. Its been years since I was last there so has probably changed a bit, also I wont remember where Im going - lol

If anyone else is around it'd be good to meet up, especially if you know where youre going!

Well, I had an absolute blast round swinley, forgot how good it is but got seriously lost - still, well worth the tiny fee.

Found some good trails, theyre probably named but I dont know what they are. Starts at the top of a hill somewhere in the vicinity of the resevoir near a boundry fence and there are 4 trails leading into some quite dense forest, pine needles all over the floor, one of the options (number 2 i think if counting left to right) has a few jumps on the way down - loads of fun but very windy and quite tight between trees in some places. I marked the top with my GPS watch so if it downloads OK Ill link to google earth and hopefully someone can fill me in. The 4th option had a step down at the top as you entered it but I didnt follow that one.

36km's of sodding around and I coulndnt for the life of me find the jumps section, its in an opening in a kind of valley, from what I remember. Found it last time I went (several years back) but not today. Has anyone got some directions? Im convinced its not in the advanced MTB area!

Dunno where it was as I was very lost, but there was quite a steep down hill section with a series of 3 jumps, think the recent rain might have washed some of what was built away as it seemed in need of a touch up, or perhaps its a work in progress. I didnt even attempt the jumps and I hereby bow to those that do!

In the same area was a bit of a roller coaster ride, steep hill down with a puddle slap bang in the middle of the trail at the bottom. Just as you get to the summit going up the other side theres a jump that launches you at least 6-10 feet, nearly wiped out first time but had to go back and do it several times :D

Need to go soak in a hot bath now, legs were cramping towards the end, despite drinking iso energy from the camelbak all day.

All feedback, suggestions, comments welcome :)

I went Thursday night for a couple of hours.

Not sure if I will be going next week (few other things on) but if you fancy going again, late afternoon early evening let me know.

Please note, the above is void if you are any good
