New forks for Mongoose Tyax Elite

My wife has a Mongoose Tyax Elite (2007). Unfortunately, most (but not all) of her riding takes place on the road and, with the forks being unable to be locked out, she finds she puts way too much effort into going up hills.
I have spoken to my LBS about getting a new set of forks with lockout but was quoted a price not disimilar to what we paid for the bike!
Anyone got any good suggestions for a new fork with lockout at less than £150 or does such a thing not exist?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Wow - thanks for the fast response guys.
If you are confident that these will do the trick then I'll get them bought. Cheapest LBS quoted was around £230 (fitted).
Having never done more than change a tyre on a bike, are these things easy to swap over?0 -
