What Bike Should I Get As An All Rounder For About £500??

I've got about £500 to spend on a new bike. Its got to be pretty versatile, but I am happy to spend on upgrades. It just needs to be a bike that i can ride whilst upgrading.Here are a few examples : Giant Stp 0 08 , Giant Stp 2 09 , Kona Stuff 08. Please Post Suggestions Soon!! I want to buy a new bike in a couple of weeks!!

You'll have a hell of job upgrading whilst you ride

If I'm not wrong there is a big difference in spec between the STP 0 2008 and the
STP 2 2009. If I were able to take the STP 0 for about £500 then that would be a great buy.
Btw, those were just an example of what kind of bike

You can buy an stp 0 08 for 475!!!!!!!The sort of riding that I do is probably classed as freeride but I ride more jumps than anything really.
The setup I thought is:
Giant STP 0 08 Frame
Rock Shox Argyle 318 In Black or White
Avid Juicy 5 203mm F + R

its not my dream setup!its the setup that im gonna buy in the near future.i'll post some pictures in this thread at each stage of the upgrading process. im probably gonna get the stp 0 08 soon and i'll be upgrading it until i find a setup that im completely satisfied with. i'll post some pictures of our freeride track as well.0 -
