Morning folks, the wife, dog and I are looking to go camping in France in the next few coming weeks probably in the Rhone-Alpes region.
Anybody know any good camp sites to recomend or any websites to go on?
We are planning on driving down there as we have the dog.

We camped in near Avignon for the tour but on the way back stopped in the Vercors region which was great - following advice we got on here! We stayed in a campsite on Gresse-en-Vercors which was very pleasant with a great view.

The municipal site at Allemont is a nice site , about 10Km from alp d huez and at the start to the col de glandon, we have stayed there a few times and realy like it , but most of the cycling is uphill although it is a flat run in to Bourge d Oisans. www.camping-leplan-allemont[/url]0

I hope you're avoiding travelling on the first and last weekends of August, unless you're intending on spending hours stationary on the autoroute.
Camp sites will be a lot busier in August as well, although if you stay clear of the honey pots you're usually still OK.0 -
Prob off around 15th Aug. Cant do any other times unfortunately. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...
