Hi, i am seeking advice on padded lycra shorts (not bibs) that will actually fit a larger size guy (38 waist, large muscly thighs) Just for 30 mile rides at weekends not racing etc.
Recently tried some Nike dri fit size XL nice quality but could not even get them on :?
So, which shorts are nice and stretchy, not designed for a racing snake, have a decent pad, cost less than £40 :?:
Any advice much appreciated, except "lose weight" as i'm working on that

That surprises me, I have some Nike Drifit in Large, and I'm a 38-40 waist. They are a few years old so maybe they've stretched with me?0

hi topdude
i have a pair of these from halfords Bicycle Line Mens Coolmax Cycle Shorts XL
under £20, always worn shorts but thought i'd try a cheaper pair to see if i liked them, wish i'd bought some years ago lol
i do between 20 and 40 miles offroad with no rubbing what so ever.
we sound like the same build 38" waist and big thighs they work for me hope this helps.

Shorts from Decathlon will fit you no problem, they go up to XXXL. That's if there is a Decathlon store near you, just search for them on the web.0

I'm a larger man (20st) and have found Altura shorts to be nice and comfy for not a huge amount of cash, the pads not that big but ok for 30m.0
