Took the kids along to that last night and they had a great time next to the finiish line, so much so that they are desperate to go another one soon . A well organised exciting fast moving event well commentated on by Harmon and Mcrossan. As for the elite race itself an impressive win by Ed Clancy with a superb 300m sprint. I see the BC site mentions young Mark Cranshaw and his cornerning skills helping to bridge to the leaders i can vouch for that his cornering after the finish line to swing round the back of the tower was truly something to behold.

I too prefer polite applause from grey-haired men in anoraks to passionate foreigners expressing how they feel about the sport they love.
