given the crummy summer we're having and an impending new bike, ive decded to convert my maxlight xc120 into a light weight single speed. ive got some ideas on forks and stuff, but wondered what id need to convert my xt hub to single speed amd also some light all round tyres to replace my intense system 4's. i was thinkin conti race kings or mountainkings, but just wondered if anyone else any suggestions.

btw found a great deal on merlin for rockshox forks but is anywhere el;se doin some light forks cheap???

theres Single speed conversion kits you can get, DMRs is a good start, plus if you're on normal drop outs mate it with their chain tensioner.
