Do My Brakes Need Bleeding?

I went out for a long ride in epic (really really bad!!) conditions and over time my brakes began to pull closer and closer to the bar, and now pull far too close, too much to alter with the reach and bite point adjustments on the brakes themselves. They stayed like this after the ride. I have Shimano XT Brakes. Do they just need a bleed? Cheers.

do the brakes fell spongy?
if yes then a bleed. if not then something needs adjusting or replacing."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

No, the lever action is still great. What would need replacing, the seals? I hope not as I'm going on holiday soon!!0 -
pads. or your reach adjuster/etc are not working."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

OK thanks. The adjustments are working as I can actually feel and see the effects but they just can't adjust it enough. I have spare pads lying around so I'll try that and the cleaning. Thanks for the ultra quick response!!0
