what bike please help??

hi there hope you can help me out...

im a bit of an off road mud head and have a kona stinky that i have really spent out on getting all the bits and bobs i wanted for it but am finding it harder and harder to get out over the wood as of late due to work and kids,

iv just started riding to work and back everyday and want to get myself a bike that will be good to use for that but also when im sitting at home and get an hour or so to burn i can just drag it out the garage and go for it....

iv not got a great deal of cash to burn as times are hard and the stinky has eaten it all up, think i can get my hands on £250ish....... i know thats not a great deal but it is just to go back and forth to work and go out on the odd burn round the roads when i can.......
