It has been asked "what is a good route to include the famous hardknott climb starting from the South Lakes.
Well this one is 80 miles, 9000ft of climb and starts/ends in Levens village, It includes some great hills that don't feature in any sportive. thereby minimising any driving from the South. i recommend on arrival you book you book a table at the pub in Levens for evening meal when you you get back.
