Hi all,

I am currently doing a lot of riding in the apenine mountains in Italy and I have been getting sooooooooooo many punctures! Does any one have any suggestions for trying to lessen them?

Cheers

Its when your tube gets pinched by a big impact that flattens the tyre against the rim.

You get two holes side by side hence snake bite.

    Also called a pinch flat

I had loads of punctures during the early part of the year - used a tubeless conversion kit (joes) and haven't had a single one since. Best £40 I've spent on the bike
GT XC1 - the harder you ride it, the better it is

you could try filling the tyre with a bike puncture repair type thing (probably called slime) , you can buy it from nearly any bike shop, what you do is squirt it into your tyre untill it is full, then put the dustcap back on then whenever you get a puncture (depending on weather it isn't too big) it will seal the hole and you just carry on riding, oh and i almost forgot, you have to take the valve out when you put the slime in (the bottle should provide a valve remover) and put it back in when your done (then make sure its pumped up) and off you go, hope that helped :D
