Looking at the dhb M1 shoes on Wiggle.
I normally wear a size 10.5 UK size, I have a narrow ankle and shallow wide forefoot.
How are the M1 sized, anyone recommend what size to opt for, reading some reviews they seem to be sized small is this true?
How are they to walk in? Will cleats hit the ground?
Any other opinions?

I have the roady version and the size seems to come up pretty accurately, in fact the toe box feels very roomy. As for narrow-ankle/ shallow forefoot freakishness, they may feel too big rather than too small, that said Wiggle's return policy is stright forward enough so probably worth a punt anyway.
The road stylee ones make you walk like a spaz, couldn't comment on the MTB ones, but I'd have thought they'd be standard enough.
Great shoe for the price, good and stiff, hard to beat on a budget.Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

One of my mate`s has a pair and whilst he rates them highly on the bike but they have a tendancy to slip off the back of his foot whilst walking, especially up steep hills.0

Ok thanks for the info.
You seem happy that the length is what they say it is.
Do you think they would be too roomy at the heel?
If too deep in the forefoot I suppose I could insert a thicker insole??0 -

Thanks. good reply.
I can live with a tight fit as they'll give through use.
Do you think the 45 is long enough then and your toes arent hitting the end at all???0 -
I have a pair of the M1 MTB Shoes and find them fine with summer socks but when wearing the sealskins my toes feel a little cramped. I agree with previous posts that they grip very well. You may need to use shims with your cleats to ensure an easy clip in (I use crank brothers and my first ride in the M1s without shims was interesting). Once fitted though no problems.
Very happy with them overall.___________________________

Hmm, thinking about it, I do have mine fastened up pretty tight, it's a bit of a struggle to pull the velcro straps through that extra bit, but like you say, a thicker insole would rectify that for you. Too roomy at the heal? Difficult to say, you really need to order a pair and try them, worth the hassle if they fit ok.

I've got size 11 and they fit my size 11 feet perfectly. If there's too much room go to field&trek or similar and get some really good insoles which will solve the problem, as you'd probably need these whatever you went for.
No problems with them slipping off, I try and cycle my local routes only pulling up on the pedals on some occasions with no slippage. No problem walking in them either, but they do make a lot of noise on hard floors (but don't seem to mark). You can run in them if you need to, certainly had no problems chasing my kids along the beach in them.
Just make sure the velcro straps are tight.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
