  • Hi guys. thinking of getting this frame myself. I see that the bb is 68mm but what is the length? just wondering what parts i can carry over to a new build from my current bike.

How far along are you on your own builds now, any chance of some pics?

Lenth of axle depends on the chainset you will be fitiing.
  • Just thought i'd bring this topic up to date a little. I still haven't had my main frame painted yet as my dad is fully booked up so has no time yet, because of this i have sprayed the second xsl myself in white with a red band and black ends. The frame is now drying nicely and once the frame has been put back together i'll get some pics in here.

I initially had issues with the first paint job as the laquer that was originally on the bike reacted badly and had to be stripped down to the ali (anyone thinking of getting or already got one of these that would like a polished ali finish it wouldn't take much work after the strip)

The paint job i have just finished isnt perfect as there is a small patch that tried to react again (used rattle cans instead of the gun, i'll know better for next time) but still looks passable to me.

I also bought the adapters and rotors needed for the hayes stroker trail v8's to make them v6's as the 8" rotor doesnt fit my frame. Also bought a set of avid juicy 3 160mm for another build.

    Neil.
If you cant race it, and you can't take it to bed, what is the point?
