training Rollers

Hi there,
I am looking in to getting a set of training rollers to help my core/balance work and so give me time to get used to them before the winter months come round, and I have to cycle indoors more.
However, i wanted to ask what peoples thoughts were about the few rollers out there that now come with resistance. Are these really any better than the normal ones, or is there not really any difference.
Any thoughts or comments welcomed.
Cheers

Hello,
I recently acquired a set of Kreitler Challenger rollers. These are the 4.5's so have the least resistance of the range. My intention was to get used to them first, just spinning, and then add one of the resistance units at a later date, so I can use them for threshold sessions, etc.
You might find the Kreitler power chart useful.

Depending on your abilities, you could get the 3.0 or 2.25 version (smaller drum diameter = more resistance) and not need any further resistance.
The quality of these is very good. I do think they are still slightly overpriced, but not excessively so (They were 15% off at Wiggle). Also, I had hoped these would provide a more engaging indoor workout than a turbo, but alas, once the initial excitement of being able to ride them without causing multiple bone fractures passed, they become pretty monotonous. Nothing beats the outdoors!0 -
TACX do a resistance unit for their rollers but I'm not sure it fits to the current Antares rollers. So if you can find somewhere with the ecotrack or sporttrack rollers in stockNeil
