Conversion to compact
Hi
Been off the bike for far too long - well the road anyway since family growing etc. I am getting back onto the road after a good couple of years off with only minimal turbo training in between - so my fitneess is appalling and need to lose a lot of weight. I think i need to chnge to a compact to help with my riding over the next few months. Im presently running campag xenon 9 speed (52/39, 13-26) Which i realise is pretty low for anyone fit but im not. If I change to a compact (50/34?) will a 10spd work on my 9 spd system - I assume I would need a 10spd chain? Im keen on not spending too much but would not go totally bargain bin - any suggestions?
cheers

What do you mean I\'m in the wrong gear?

I assume that you mean a 10 speed crankset (not rear gears). A 10 speed compact would be fine and so would your 9 speed chain.0
