Really what is with this weather!!!
is it isolated to Manchester or is everyone had none stop rain for 2 weeks solid? (saturday was nice, but then today and next week is forcast rain rain rain)
I'm sick of it :?

If the rain is light it's pretty miserable. But if you go out when it's absolutely pissing it, you'll have so much fun.

My friend made the suggestion that i'll probably buy a boat instead of another bike...
Spend similar amounts of time rowing and cycling, although it isn't too practical for getting around in the rain...0 -
I don't mind going out in all kinds of weather, but I hate having to constantly clean the bike!

I'm over in Rochdale (outskirts of Mcr) and managed a ride on sunday afternoon and I'm still damp in certain places.
It was ok though, I sat looking at the rain and thought of bugger it, its only water.
Bike top and shorts, not much point wearing a jacket as it would get soaked anyway.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
the problem with the rain at the momenbt is it is all showers so you go out get wet then the rest of the ride is dry so you get all the bad bits of rain with out the added fun of lots of mud etc2 Broken fingers broken again... F@$%^£g hell that hurt!!!

I love riding the mtb in the rain, makes it all the more fun. I dunno i just have a vivid imagination, i like to improvise alot etc etc. I refuse to buy 80 pound gore tex stuff when you can use bin bags etc if neccesary, gives it a sense of adventure so to speak.yeehaamcgee wrote:

Alot of fun, reasonalby cheap, and almost zero maintainance costs once you got the gear!
