Cannondale hardtail question...

Hi all - can someone put me straight? I've been looking at a range of second-hand cannondales (ranging from the F700- F1000) and really want an honest opinion on the forks. What does everythink of the Headshox sus fork? Whats the travel like and would you recommend them over a more conventional system - i.e. Rock Shox tora/reba??

They are light and stiff steering. But tend to be a bit notchy, and not as well damped.

Good choice for XC racing.
