Taking delivery of my new Langster in a couple of weeks, my first time on a fixed. Are chain tugs either necessary or a good idea or what.

    They make taking the wheel on and off much less hassle as you don't have to reset the chain tension. You only need one actually - the surly one is nice.

    I use a surly tug nut on my langster. Wouldnt be without out it ona single or fixed now.

    Get to grips with the fixed wheel on quiet roads. You will have a tendency to stop pedalling when you first start riding it which can throw you off if you are not careful!!
