Now this year's TDF is coming to an end and having only managed to get to see one stage, I am looking at the best way to follow it for a week to ten days next year.
My plan is to ride a stage one day, watch the pros on the same stage the following day and move on - maybe having a bash at 3 or 4 stages.
Does anyone have any advice on this plan - is it better to ride the day before where there are obviously no time restrictions, or get up early and start several hours before the caravanne begins to get more of the atmosphere?
