    Bagpuss, I am very jealous they have made a smashing job of refinishing. Congratulations!
    Please post some photos when you have built it up.

    I remember very well when I had a beautifull Paris Galibier in a purple paint finish, I was only about 16 and managed to totally destroy it in an accident with a car which hit me from the side at an estimated 40mph, I actually came out of it without any broken bones but I had massive bruising. The large horizontal tube was bent around my thigh and flat, the frame was scrap.

    I have always hankered after another one since then, 40 years ago! It was always referred to by my friends at the Byways cycling club in Cardiff as "the Dog Dodger" as they reckoned a dog could run through between the front wheel and chainset with no bother!

    Cheers Streak.It's going to be a couple of months yet before I start building it up.Busy riding my bike a the moment.I don't normalyl start in the garage till October time.I have all the period bits for it.Thought about more modern components,but went for the clunky stuff this time. :wink:
