Apparantly, the success of Britain and Norway in the Tour is making it a bit tough for the Dutch.

Something to do with the UCI scoring means that unless the Dutch start getting some good wins or top 10s soon, they won't start the world champ road race with the full 9 riders, but only 5...

Or something like that.

It's been a pretty bad Tour for the Dutch.

    Told ya so. It was the yanks, not the brits though. And the Nors...

    First time ever the Dutch havn't ridden the worlds with 9 riders. And France.

    Edit: Seems some Dutch journalists are slightly gnarked that the Norway only has 3 professional riders so will have to pay a bunch of amateurs to join them (according to NOS).
