Ride the lights Blackpool..Any good?

Is anyone going on /ever been on this.and is this event any good?..Its 1st September this year

    yes - it is excellent - did it every year so far.

    loads of bikes out, road is closed from starr gate in the very south to red bank road in Bispham - it's a really "nice" event.

    just be careful of riding near kids who don't always look before rapidly changing direction,

    It is fun but can be a little mental at times, its not just kids you need to look out for, mate of mine last year was taken out by a drunk who fell into the road. I am there this year, taking the little one on the tag-a-long for her first time through, eldest does it every year with me. It was this event that got me back to cycling.
