Today I'll be riding in to work (about 4miles), where I'll change into my suit, pick up a hire car, and a colleague (who incidentally live just round the corner from me) and then driving off to some uber-dull training course. Returning car to work about 10 hours later. I'll pass about 100 yds from my house on outward & return legs.

"Why don't you get them to deliver the car to home?" asks Mrs Rally200.

I think we all know

Not really. Why don't you cycle to the training course?

Presumably because said colleague doesn't ride a bike - can't think of any other reason

because it was 50 miles away (I didn't say that did I  )

turned out my colleague had to get a bus into work to meet me, just so I could enjoy a ride to & fro from work, I feel very slightly bad about it

Do you feel bad about being so weak? 50 miles? EASY.

Yeah, true - -if I'd have set off at about 6 - I could have made quite an impression at the course in steaming cycle shorts
