I have a Cateye Velo 8, and the sensor doesn't bother me.
How small are you looking at?

But if you're buying wired then go for the Mity 8, better look than the Velo.

Btw, I don't know how big the sensor is on the wireless computers.
Others will help you about that.

I use the wireless Cateye Stradas on two of my bikes as I log my distances. I use them in forested areas where GPS usually struggles. I have them calibrated to round about 3% accuracy
The sensors and computers are weatherproof and other than the small spoke based magnet sometimes getting knocked away from the sensor, I've had no issues at all.

I've got a wireless Cateye. Can't remember the model off the top of my head but I've got no complaints with it.

I got a wireless cateye strada after all the raving on here, not massively impressed with it tbh... It works well but it's fiddly and a bit unintuitive, I think they've gone too far in trying to make it teeny, at the cost of making it a bit less nice to use. Much prefer my Sigma 1106 to use. Though they both do the same job and at the end of the day both do it well- reliability, accuracy etc seems spot on with both.
