:D amazing comments the 56000+ people who had a positive experience counts for nothing it seems!, but then it is allways the 'few' whitch hunting maggots that cause problems for everyone else. if the forks are available elsewhere at a good price and you have had an instant refund what is the bloody problem? as stated by someone with some intelligence if DHL lost them what can they do?

Funny how you're a new account and the first thing you do is post in this thread. :P

Can a mod to an ip traceback at all, might end up in rutland somewhere. ;)

As for the advertising the cheapest only to always be out of stock that does get me angry, to the point where i don't buy there and head elsewhere, and as already said crc push a fine line as well.

Many internet sites nowadays are bedroom sellers, they list items on a site then when someone buys they order from their supplier and set delivery to whoever bought it.

Only trouble with these sites is that everything is 'in stock' and has a slow lead time, flat4online is very well known for this though im sure he does the best he can, waiting weeks if not months is not unheard of.

Rutland probably do this for some of the more obscure items hence the long wait times.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Ive used Rutlands couple time one for a Yeti frame which came no probs and two; this year i ordered a Kona stinky 08 which never came, so i phoned up and spoke to the manager to resolve this which we did but when i couldnt get hold of him and left my no with memeber of staff he never once called back and that has happend few times. How ever im NOT slating them as they cant be a bad store as they have succesfull stores up and running.
Maybe in person the customer service is best but they could do with some training prehaps from what ive been reading, maybe im wrong on that dont know.

My Kona was also lost by a parcel company but i got refunded so i was happy about it as such just the fact the brand nwe bike is sat some where :x . My advice is shop where your fully happy with. Every one has their favs shops wether its CRC, Wiggle, Winstanleys, Merlin.
Me will shop who ever sells the item the cheapest :D wins and get good fast delivery and good honest dealing with and none of this messing about crap.
So bottom line is Shop at Runtlands / dont shop at Rutlands.
I don't have a bike addiction problem.....bikes seems to have a problem with me.....it just can't seem to stay on.

I have used rutland on several occasions.

I once bought something that took over a week to arrive, despite being in stock. I needed it for a trip and therefore I had to buy another one before I left.

When I got back from my trip I sent the delayed item back to Rutland and they apologised and immediately credited my account with a refund.

That's good service. Yes, I would have liked my item to arrive on time, but delays happen and they sorted the problem out with minimal fuss.

  • I've just had an extremely unpleasant experience with Rutland. I won't be going back.

Most people won't have had to deal with their customer services and will continue using them. It's a numbers game.
