what size frame

im looking for a new bike my curent bike is a scott carbon 56 witch seams slightly too big im 5ft 9 inches the bike guides say that 56 large is right for me,what do u think.
going downhill slowly

    I am too around 5ft 9.
    I have a Giant in a medium, which is perfect...
    I too have seeked advice on this subject.. and was advised on a 54".

    I'm 6ft 1 and the Giant Medium fits me, go and sit on a few, top tube length is more important for fit than size of seat tube (as long as you can get on the bike safely!).

    5 10 and I use a 54. Perfect fit (I think :? )

    I would say that is too big for you.
    I'm a fraction under 5'9" and a 54 would just about fit me (could alsmost get away with a 52).
    Sell your current one and get the next size down....you'll really notice the difference!
