Advice on Sportive Frame required

I've just got back from a cycling trip in the Pyrenees and while my 08 Specialized Roubaix Comp was great for climbing and descending the Col du Tourmalet and the Aubsique I am now yearning for similar levels of comfort but better response to pedal input and slightly lighter. I am considering the following frames (with forks) - 09 Specialized Roubaix S-Works SL2 or an 08 Scott Addict SL, does anyone have any useful advice in which of these would best suit my requirements? Or if you could suggest another option that would be great. The main focus of my riding is sportives with the main target of the Etape next year.

i would have thought if you want the same level of comfort then the S-Works roubaix is the one for you as the Scott does not have the same "sportive" intent (although it is remowned as a stiff frame!)

That said, i'm not 100% sure you would notice that much difference - I have a 2008 S-Works roubaix but it is my only experience of the roubaix - it;s certainly stiff and yet also very comfortable - but can it really be "that" much more stiff than the comp??

You could also possibly look at the tarmac - either 08 or 09 S-Works frames are probably stiffer than the Roubaix and while they are more "sporty" the latest tarmacs (still talking 08 or 09) are much more relaxed than they used to be - I mean that from a "height of headtube" way - and therefore might also be an option.

(I have to admit I am kind of wondering if I should have went for a tarmac over my sworks roubaix to be honest...)

    like this, for example:

also consider the cervelo RS which has roubaix geometry and some good reviews for stifness (great looking frame too) - also around the same price.

Thanks for the advice, I am now waiting for the price on the Tarmac SL2 to drop now that the SL3 is out the open.

What are thoughts on the Planet X Pro SL Carbon for long distance duties?

I have the new LOOK 566 which I think is far nicer in colour than the Cervelo, and is designed for comfort.

The Look 566 is interesting, I'll have a look in Epic Cycles at the weekend.
The Colnago Ace also looks the business, I will be keeping an eye out for prices.
    Thanks for advice.
