Recently i had a Spesh Hardrock sport as my first bike however this didnt really suit my aggresive style of riding. I was given 1500 pound to spend on a bike and some new protection.
I bought a Meta 5.5.2 from merlin for £1350 and some knew knee and elbow pads ( ignore the protection)
I read every single review possible for this bike and then i bough it, but did i make the right choice. I love my downhills but i also like my hills aswell my mentality is the grass is always greener on the other side. I have no intentions of putting full body armour on and doing dhill courses otheriwse i would have bought a dhill bike?
right or wrong choice then ?

That's like saying i want a door for my car that doesn't meet the roof, because I once had the wind blow it shut when I was getting in, and I had my head squished between, well, the door and the roof.

Only you can answer that question.
The Meta is a great all-rounder though and perfectly capable at normal XC riding as well as slightly more gnarly stuff.
Wish someone would give me £1500 to spend on a new bike.0 -
