Hi, I have just over hauled a rear fixed/fixed suzue loose bearing hub cap, got new bearings, axle and cones but one dust cap is damaged - any one any ideas where I can get new/secondhand ones or is it possible to rig up a hommade dust cap?

Thanks.

So, no suggestions! How about this - I think the dust cap plays no role with the bearings? it just keeps the muck etc out of the bearing housing? So a washer with a centre hole of the right diameter to fit around the cone would do? It could be glued to the outside of the hub. My cone is 15mm in diameter so a waher with 15 or 16mm internal hole should do.
  • Damn I've got the exact same problem! Did the washer work?

You could try matching your old cap to one from another brand. Your LBS may be able to help out. Suzue is terrible for supplying spares.

That's a coincidence - 2 people having the same problem in the space of only 4 1/2 years! What a world
Hell, that's the second time this week I've been stung by the stale thread sucker reply. This calls for another beer.
