Cycling On The Moon?

Is it true that 40 years ago was the first cycle on the moon? My Uncle says so.
He likes to lie so I don't want to take him at his word.
He says that back then the bikes were made from low-end carbon and most people could only afford 9 speed 105 groupsets, which is what they used on the moon.
Is it true that the average speed attainted on the moon on a bike is 29.3 mph?

I am afraid your uncle is correct.

Everyone has heard of the Lunar Cycle.

Trouble was specially adapted bikes had to be made to deal with the rocky terrain and the cumbersome suits.

  • I will ask for my Uncle's forgiveness. I told him that cycles were not in favour on the moon and that walking was the most popular form of transportation.
I will buy him something memorable.
